when you go in thru web mail (www.blackpyramidstudios.com/webmail ) can you successfully login?

remember that outside of your web site's admin account, the account name for all email accounts is in the form of username@blackpyramidstudios.com

also, another suggestion, try completely deleting your Outlook Express profile account and setting it up from scratch again. Or better yet, go thru cPanel, select Email > Manage Account, and click on the Outlook Express Auto Config option!

Hi,

Its a common problem with OE. Even microsoft admit they don't know why it does it for.

Anyhow, a few possible solutions:

1) Reinstall OE 6

2) Use another mail program

3) Send email via your ISPs/Companys SMTP server.

Did you try using the Auto Config option in cPanel? The reason I ask is that another user had a problem awhile back with OE, and using the auto config option worked.

If Jim is correct about a possible problem with OE, it would be easy enough to check by going with another free email client program. One suggestion is Eudora, which I used for several years.

Click on the link below to go to the TCH Help Site section on setting up an email client. I would echo kw's comment on using the autoconfig option in the cPanel. A user wirg a similar problem last night managed to get Outlook to work by deleting the email account in Outlook and then using autoconfigure to set it back up.

Morganza,

TCH not only has written tutorials, but movie tutorials as well, on setting up email at the TCH Help Web Site. click here.

Oh, I just realized why you may not be working --- you need to enable 'my server requires authentication' -- it's identified in the TCH Help Web Site.

I have deleted the old account and used the auto config option in the Cpanel, i checked to make sure the 'my server requires authentication' is checked. What else is there?
