Cpanel Versions

Some of my accounts have a very new cpanel look, others seem to have an older version.

 

I have always wondered why?

 

Does anyone know?

Can you elaborate? Are you using the same themes in all of them?

Here are differences between the cPanel on two of my servers.

 

Server 40:

 

 

Server 76:

 

 

I *MUCH* prefer the list on server 40 as opposed to the huge array of icons on server 76. It is so hard to find things when they aren't categorized.

 

I'm not sure if this is the same thing Weezy is talking about, but I've wondered why these are so different. I haven't figured out how to configure cPanel to show a list...

Paul, those are two different cPanel skins. You can request a change by opening a ticket with the help desk.

Weezy, when you create packages you can choose which cPanel theme to use. Check which theme you are using between the two.

Just for reference as you're looking into your package settings, the one on the left is called Tree and the one on the right is called X.

 

You shouldn't really use the tree version anymore. It's an old skin and won't work 100%.
