Hello from Australia!

I am just new to Total Choice Hosting and am enjoying it so much.

Now everything is set with my account I am attempting to load Movable Type.. (very exciting!)

Everything has gone fine so far... except for one problem.

I am up to the point where it actually comes to *running* movable type.

I have gone to the mt.cgi page and there is a broken MT graphic.

I also get this message -

"/mt/ The filesystem path to the 'db' directory, where your MT database/mt.cgi "

And regardless, when I try to log in as Melody Nelson, it doesn't work either.

I hope this makes sense to someone.. LOL ! It is driving me mental!

Have a great day...!

:D

:D Welcome to the Family :)

and your new home!

I can't help with MT

but I am sure the MT users will be along soon.

We really are like family here.

So if you need anything,

just ask your new family!

We love to help B)

I am by no means an expert, but I just installed MT and was having trouble and made several posts here that you may want to look at, if you haven't already. However there is one post that I made when I was having a very bad day that we won't talk about. :P

But I'm doing much better now.

I'm working on a MT site as well.

What can I do to give someone the addy for my URL w/o having to give them

mysite.com/mt/mt.cgi

?

Thanks !

The only time you would ever give someone that URL is if you wanted to give them access to add content to your blog.

You should either publish your blog to your root domain space or a subdomain. Then to view it they would enter www.yourdomain.ext or subdomain.yourdomain.ext

Where your blog gets published is defined in the weblog config section.
