bbb Posted February 6, 2005 Posted February 6, 2005 I would like to use web based email and have the email forward to another account. (this i know how to do) However, how can i have it so that there is also a copy of the email that remains on the web based account. In other words i get an email at me@****, i want to forward it to me2@****, but also still have a copy remain at me@**** Thank you. Quote
TCH-Dick Posted February 6, 2005 Posted February 6, 2005 All you need to do is create the forward, as long as both accounts actually exist a copy will be placed in both of them. Quote

bbb Posted February 6, 2005 Author Posted February 6, 2005 Thanks for the answer and the welcome. The forwarder does work as i want. I have seen forwarders set-up to work both way (one leaving a copy, one only forwarding and leaving no copy)... glad to see TCH's works the way i like. Quote

Is there a way to have the email forwarding not leave a copy? Is it possible to forward the admin account email? Quote
TCH-Don Posted February 8, 2005 Posted February 8, 2005 Welcome to the Family Jeves and your new home! Yes you can forward any address to another, but be sure you do not try to forward to AOL. if your admin account is a catchall you will be forwarding spam to AOl See this policy change. TCH-Rob Posted February 8, 2005 Posted February 8, 2005 Jeves and BBB, Welcome to the forums and welcome home. To not leave a copy, just set up a forwarder and not an actual account. Quote

No other way, then? Why doesn't this work like a Unix .forward file? Quote
