rogson Posted January 14, 2005 Posted January 14, 2005 I love my TCH account, BUT, when using Outlook Express, I have to request e-mails within about a five window before i can send e-mails. I suspect this is to prevent spamming, but would like to know if there is a way around it. When I want to send, i want to send at that moment, not have to open OE and access the SMTP side before the e-mail will go out. thanks Quote
TCH-Rob Posted January 14, 2005 Posted January 14, 2005 I do not have that issue at all, I can send and recieve one after the other with no issues. I would recheck my settings and if necessary open a ticket to see if something was missed. By the way, have you tried another email client to see if it is the same on it as well? Quote
TCH-Andy Posted January 14, 2005 Posted January 14, 2005 Welcome to the family In the account details in OE - make sure you have the "my server requires authentification" ticked for the outgoing mail server. Then you should be fine. If you have not got this ticked, then you will need to 'check' your email first, and for a short period of time, the server will remember your authenitification - and hence you can send. Quote
TCH-Thomas Posted January 14, 2005 Posted January 14, 2005 Hi, I just wanted to say Welcome to your extended family And I am also moving this for organization. Quote
TCH-Bruce Posted January 14, 2005 Posted January 14, 2005 Welcome to the family and forums, rogson! I used OE for over a year here at TCH and never had any problems sending. You must do as Andy says though. Check the box that says your server requires authentication in the Server tab for your account. Quote
