I've searched and couldn't find the answer...maybe it's too simple, but bear with me as there are a lot of people (I'm just saying that to make myself feel good) who don't understand the details of parking. Mostly, I'm concerned with my third question, as I couldn't find info on customizing parking pages, but would also like 1 and 2 confirmed along with prices.)

Suppose I have a full hosted active site on TCH: website-one.com and then I get another domain name: website-two.com, do I understand correctly that the following are my options? And, what does each cost?

1) Forwarding: if forwarding is set up, when people type in website-two.com they are automatically redirected to website-one.com and in the address box it will say website-one.com so they will know that they are there. Is this correct? What is the fee?

2) Forwarding with Masking: if forwarding with masking is set up, when people type in website-two.com, the website-one.com site will come up on their screen but the address box will say website-two.com so they will not know that it is essentially pulling the files from website-one.com. Is this correct? What is the fee?

3) Static Park Page: if I do not want to set up any kind of forwarding, I can just have a static park page that comes up when people type in website-two.com and that page can have or not have a normal click-on-me link to website-one.com. Is this correct. What is the fee? And, what are the limitations for customizing this page assuming any graphics are pulled off of website-one.com?

4) Other Options: are there any other options besides 1, 2 and 3 above for dealing with parked pages, besides doing nothing and getting a page cannot be displayed error.

Thank you very much, I can already tell TCH has the best support in the business.

TCH doesnt offer any of the options you listed above, we offer domain name parking which means if you have website1.com and you park website2.com on it, both domains will resolve to main index page of website1.com.

So, if a visitor types in website2.com they will end up at the same page as website1, but I'm pretty sure the address bar will display website2.com. This is not a forward, both domains resolve to the same place so there is no forwarding or redirecting going on.

There is no cost to have us park a second, third, fourth etc. domain on your primary domain.

You can not have a second domain point to a subdirectory or subdomain on your site, one site per standard account, if you need multiple sites, add on domains, the ability to point sites at subdomains etc you would need a reseller account.

OK, "parking" is making more sense now.

I'll head over to some registrars to see what options/fees they offer. I really want simply but individualized static pages that will sort of "hold their own" in the cyber world for my unused domain names with just a simple link to my one main website front page. Subdirectories/subdomains are not an issue for me. I don't really want to pay to have them separately hosted since they will have insignificant traffic/bandwidth and require just a simple index page for storage.

Thank you.

OK, so I've checked with some registrars...Go Daddy for instance...and they don't do what I call simple static pages. I have found a TCH reseller that will host my three static pages for a total of $30/year provided that I host my own images which I have no problem doing. So, I am now contemplating going with this option which appears to be the best solution.

I Google searched for people using TCH and MovableType* and of the ones I found I sent an email to the ones with the most sophisticated sites (thus likely to be most knowledgeable and not a TCH customer just by accident) and asked them about their combined TCH/MT experience. All responses were positive and with one, I exchanged several very helpful and informative messages wherein it was brought up that he was a TCH reseller and he made me the above described offer.

* I use MovableType and my old host's lack of support and TCH being MT friendly (along with great support and reasonably prices) is why I am a new member of the TCH family.
