As far as I'm aware, although there are some attempts to port it onto other platforms none of these are very successful.

I've heard decent things about "ChiliSoft ASP" for Linux. Not free though.

 

It may be more beneficial to rewrite your scripts in Perl/PHP though. They run well on Linux and PC. And, FREE!!!

Is there an advantage/disadvantage of choosing PERL instead of PHP?

Depends if you already know Perl you can continue to use it. If you need to learn one or the other I would pick PHP.

 

I use both but PHP is very easy to use with mySQL databases.

They can both do pretty much the same thing.

 

PHP is easier to learn and has more built-in functions

 

Perl has more complex string manipulation.
