I went to subscribe to a newsletter and also a login with some different websites. Put in my email address, some accepted it, others said "invalid email address".

Can someone please explain this!!

It is an info@domainname.info (which is my own site) and some accept it, others don't. I just don't understand it, just one of those things I guess.

A lot of the scripts do "validation" of the mail address - that is, they make sure it's got all the rights parts to be a real address. Part of that is validating the last segment (.com, .net) etc against the possible TLDs. It is very possible that they've not included the .info segment and therefore it won't let you sign up.

I'd contact them and complain; I'm sure you wouldn't be the only one with the problem. =)

back with the "invalid email address" this time its with certain engines not accepting the .info tld again. Surely the search engines should recognise it. It is begining to be a pain in the butt.

I am thinking of dropping the .info and going for a .com or something else.

Does anyone else have this problem. Or anyone with some advice.
