TCH-Thomas Posted September 1, 2004 Posted September 1, 2004 Which is Americas most read newspaper? Thank you in advance Quote
Virtual Imager Posted September 1, 2004 Posted September 1, 2004 Just guessing, but it makes sense that it would have to be one that is sold nationally rather than just on a local level (no matter how big that locality is). Personally, I read the New York Times, but I'd guess that USA Today is read by more people as it is easier to read and written for more of a mass market. But most people probably read their local newspaper. I think the New York Post may have the largest daily circulation for local newspapers, but I'm not sure. But because it's only read and sold locally, it isn't the "most read newspaper." Ask Jeeves! VI Quote
TCH-Thomas Posted September 1, 2004 Author Posted September 1, 2004 (edited) Thanks VI I was thinking about doing a search on google or something but then I figured that they all will probably claim to be most read (as most swedish newspapers do ), so I thought I ask my friends here. stevevan Posted September 1, 2004 Posted September 1, 2004 seeing as i'm on the road over 250 days a year and spend a lot of time in hotels, the common paper I see delivered to rooms at hotels is USA Today. So that would be my guess. Quote
jslagle Posted September 1, 2004 Posted September 1, 2004 Thomas, USA Today is the highest circulation in the US, followed by The Wall Street Journal, and in third place, The New York Times. hxxp://www.newspapers.com/top10.html Quote

TCH-Rob Posted September 1, 2004 Posted September 1, 2004 My fiancee writes for The Rebel Yell... lol. Not quite top ten are they? What is that, the official Billy Idol paper? Quote
DarqFlare Posted September 2, 2004 Posted September 2, 2004 lol.. Gotta love it. No, but there are often references to him. It's UNLV's newspaper. They're trying to diversify and expand into becoming the newspaper for the collegiate-age population of Las Vegas right now. Quote
