pfeffer5308 Posted August 25, 2004 Posted August 25, 2004 Hey all, does anyone have a link or know of a cable that is capable of slaving a laptop hard drive onto a desktop? I have come across multiple instances where I needed to recover data from a corrupt laptop hard drive that will not load windows! This becomes incresingly important when the faulty hard drive contains classified information, so any knowledge on this subject would be awesome! Thank you in advance, pfeffer5308 Quote
TCH-Rob Posted August 25, 2004 Posted August 25, 2004 I havent seen a cable but I believe I have seen a device the laptop hard drive slides into so you can connect it to a desktop cable. Google "connect laptop hard drive to desktop" and you can see what I mean. Quote
Madmanmcp Posted August 25, 2004 Posted August 25, 2004 Try to find an adapter. See if one of these will do. Or search google on "laptop drive adapter" h*tp://www.datapro.net/products/1920.html h*tp://tekgems.com/Products/et-1620-ada-hd-108.htm h*tp://www.provantage.com/buy-7cbtr00e-laptop-hard-drive-adapter-idc44f-idc40m-cables-go-adapters-17705-shopping.htm Quote
