My name is Mitch Cooper. I own Web Solutions. Im trying to find a host to switch all of my clients to. They curretnly are on Feature Price. two of my clients have multiple domains. One in particularly has 4 sites and the other has 2. Can they purchase the "Expert" package and run mulitple sites on that account? If this can be done, I will be willing to direct both of these clients to you immediately.

Featureprice.coms service has fastly grown to pathetic. I have been referred to this host by GoDaddy.com. Ive been told that Totalchoice Hosting has a good stable service and responds to problems and request quickly. I guess this post will be the test.

To host multiple domains requires a reseller account, so to answer your question specifically, NO, you cannot purchase an Expert plan and host more than one domain.

However, it really sounds like the Reseller plans would suit you to a tee. Here's the deal. YOU buy the reseller plan and move your clients into YOUR account. At that point, you can set up as many domains as can fit into your bandwidth/space constraints. Since you create the packages that your clients will be using for each of their domains, you can impose whatever limits you like for each package and sell them for whatever you like.

I had two FeaturePrice plans (one Platinum and one Premium) to host 10 domains. I moved here into a reseller plan and now can host those and more, for less money. More convenience, too as all of my hostees are now managed from a single management console. Then each domain receives its own cPanel, too.

Now that I have you hyped about reseller plans, the bad news is that we currently have a hold on new reseller accounts. There is a waiting list though that you should put your name on. We expect to have the reseller accounts available again in 3-5 days. Click here to go to the waiting list.

Hi,

I am sorry to hear about the problems you are having with your current hosting service.

Our virtual plans only allow domains with the same content to be pointed. This means that you can not host more than one domain with different content. Here are some examples.

Lets say I own

billsweb.com, billsweb.net and billsweb.org and I wanted them when typed in a browser to go to one web site and all show the same content. This is allowed under our virtual plans.

Example #2

I own billsweb.com and isellchicken.com and I want to host billsweb.com in the www folder on my master account. Then I want to host isellchicken.com in the same account but point that domain to a folder with different content. That folder is called /chicken.

This is NOT allowed with our virtual plans. You would require a reseller account for that.

Thanks for dropping by and good luck in your search for new web hosting.

The good news is the new servers are up and running, I am just running some final testing on them and we should be good to go by this afternoon on new reseller accounts.

Updates soon.

I guess that answers my question. Depending on the price, the reseller plan my work. So I can start offering web hosting services? I have never hosted before and would be new to that area, so forgive the stupidity. Would I have a controll panel and all my by client would have their own control panel? Woud there be one web based email or would all of my clients still have web based email?

Ok, I admit, you win on the promptness of responding. Thanks

Mitch,

As a reseller, you would have access to WHM (web Hosting manager), which you would use to

(1) configure your own hosting plans (bandwidth, # email accounts, disk space, etc),

(2) set up each of your customers when they signup with you, including initial emails

(3) monitor bandwidth and disk usage

Each customer that signs up with you, would have access to their own cPanel to

(1) add/manage their own email, including web mail

(2) setup MySQL databases

(3) access other utilities and tools (web stats, CGI scripts, etc.)

In general, as a reseller my customers, however, really don't want to be bothered with managing their web site, so I manage all the cPanel type of work for them, at a cost.

Finally, TCH has several movie tutorials on WHM and cPanel. Go to TCH Help Web Site and click on Movie Tutorials.

Hope this helps!
