BigDaddyJinx Posted June 10, 2004 Posted June 10, 2004 Does TCH offer a way for me to transfer my actual domain here? The reason I ask is because I registered my domain name through PlanetDomain and for some reason or another my site keeps parking itself! It's starting to get me beyond annoyed because one minute it says my domain is parked and the next hour it is back. This is making me crazy!! I've submitted a "trouble ticket" to them but they haven't bothered to rectify the situation, let alone get back to me about it. I am not a happy camper at this point. If it's possible for me to actually transfer the domain name to TCH (please God let there be a way) could someone let me know? I can't expect to be a valuable host if my site keeps parking all by itself. Thx for any assistance. Quote
hindixp Posted June 10, 2004 Posted June 10, 2004 (edited) Hi, you can always host your existing Domains with TCH. Did You got any control panel to manage your domain when you registered it? To be able to use it here you would need to Update nameservers to point to TCH. Edited June 10, 2004 by hindixp Quote
BigDaddyJinx Posted June 10, 2004 Author Posted June 10, 2004 ARGH! Man, that'd be just my luck wouldn't it. I should've mentioned that my domain is a .CA TLD... From the list I saw available to transfer over (and BTW thx a tonne to TCH-Rob for the awesomely fast reply), the .CA TLD is not one that is accepted. That bites Mad!!! Leave it to me to get what I want and have it turn to you-know-what in my hands Thx for the replies though - looks like I'm stuck with an on again-off again domain. Quote

BigDaddyJinx Posted June 10, 2004 Author Posted June 10, 2004 WOWZA Batman! You guys are smokin' fast around here Rock Sign I was just heading back to edit my last post to include that I had TCH name servers as primary and secondary with my registrar's as 2 alternate backups. My spidey sense tells me that this may be the entire problem, if not the bulk of it. I purchased a domain there, host a site here, and I may have confused the Internet by my DNS amendments. I have since went back and changed the primary and secondary to my registrar's servers. I dunno what effect that'll have, but I guess I'll soon find out. And TCH-Rob, I always try to hang on I'll keep coming back to see if there's anything else I can do. Hard to host a forum that is online and offline within minutes. Guesswork does not a smooth forum make. PS - you guys here have already made it clear that I made a wise choice setting up shop here *sniffle* Quote
TCH-Rob Posted June 10, 2004 Posted June 10, 2004 PS - you guys here have already made it clear that I made a wise choice setting up shop here *sniffle* OK, now youre gonna make me cry. Remember too that the change you just made can take up to 72 hours to completely go into effect. Do not change it again untill you have past that time frame. Quote
BigDaddyJinx Posted June 11, 2004 Author Posted June 11, 2004 LOL Actually, what I meant to post was that I figured I had 4 nameservers listed, TCH as primary and secondary and registrar's as 2 backups so this may have caused some confusion in the locating of the actual website, so I removed the registrar's nameservers and kept just TCH nameservers. This is where my site is hosted, so I hope the Internet will realize that. I guess I'll know more in 24-72 hrs. Still, if there was a way to just transfer the domain name here completely that'd be great. Keep me posted if any new info becomes available that I might take advantage of. And keep up the great work Rock Sign Quote
