lubox.com Posted June 3, 2004 Posted June 3, 2004 Hello, What is actually the longest uptime you ever experienced on one of your server? Thxs in advance Ludo, who almost joined the TCH family Quote
TCH-Bruce Posted June 3, 2004 Posted June 3, 2004 I don't know what the longest ever was but let me say this. Server 26 had a complete meltdown. In about 16 hours it was completely replaced and back online. With any previous host it would have been down days. In fact it was once and that's why I am here. Quote
lubox.com Posted June 3, 2004 Author Posted June 3, 2004 Server 26 had a complete meltdown. In about 16 hours it was completely replaced and back online. Yep, i have to say that it's impressive I'm really thinking to move one or 2 sites to TCH to test out The only real drawback with TCH, IMHO, is the unability to have even one or two add-on domains (for free or for fee) with web hosting plans, but as the uptime seems to be great... that's a ****ing dilemna Eheh Ludo Quote
TCH-Thomas Posted June 3, 2004 Posted June 3, 2004 You can park domains on each other, even in the usual plans (I think). Quote
lubox.com Posted June 3, 2004 Author Posted June 3, 2004 You can park domains on each other, even in the usual plans (I think). yep, park them, but not have an add-on ones. I mean, if I have: domain1.com and domain2.com I can point both a them on the same index.html but not on 2 different index.htm If I am correct... Ludo Quote
TCH-Thomas Posted June 3, 2004 Posted June 3, 2004 (edited) No, that you cant do on a "regular" plan, only in reseller plans. Edited June 3, 2004 by Jikrantz Quote
TCH-Bruce Posted June 3, 2004 Posted June 3, 2004 You can have unlimited subdomains on a regular account. You cannot however point a top level domain to a subdomain on a regular shared hosting account. For that you would require a reseller account. Still at $4/mo for a shared domain, $8 for two domains would be less expensive than the $20/mo reseller account. You can start with multiple shared accounts and if at a later date upgrade to a reseller package if you wanted to add more domains and have your individual accounts rolled into that reseller account. Oh that's really interesting! It good to know that they can be rolled together afterwards Thxs for the answers Ludo Quote
DarqFlare Posted June 3, 2004 Posted June 3, 2004 I remember when 26 went down, I used to be on it... I didn't even consider it that bad, since my host before TCH went down for 2 days once.. No explanation... lol Quote
Deverill Posted June 4, 2004 Posted June 4, 2004 my host before TCH went down for 2 days once.. No explanation... lol My previous host was down for 2 days and went on other webhosting forums denying that he was down! Talk about nerve! Quote
