amansker Posted May 27, 2004 Posted May 27, 2004 I have had intermittent disconnect problems while uploading. They seem to be getting worse. The upload starts fine and then disconnects from the server. I've seen a number of different messages, most often: "unknown socket error" Sometimes I get an error "cannot connect, too many users connected". I'm the only person using these accounts. FTP Voyager Secure 11.0 / SBC Global / XP Pro / no router Just now I was disconnected and tried to reconnect: STATUS:> Waiting... DarqFlare Posted May 27, 2004 Posted May 27, 2004 Put in a Help Desk ticket on it (Top of forums link) Quote
TCH-Bruce Posted May 27, 2004 Posted May 27, 2004 Sometimes I get an error "cannot connect, too many users connected". I'm the only person using these accounts. You are on a shared server and there is a limit to the number of users that can connect at one time. I've never experienced this but it's possible. Second, have you opened a Help Desk ticket to report the issue? Quote
amansker Posted May 27, 2004 Author Posted May 27, 2004 It appears that I cannot connect to any TCH sites at this time. I CAN connect to other servers. Just got "530 Authentication failed, sorry" message. STATUS:> Connecting to "ftp.redhotriders.com" on port 21. ERROR:> Connection closed by the server. ERROR:> Unable to login STATUS:> Waiting... TCH-Rob Posted May 27, 2004 Posted May 27, 2004 I have seen this before, I was too lazy to open a ticket. Open a Help Desk ticket. Quote
amansker Posted May 27, 2004 Author Posted May 27, 2004 Will do. Just thought someone might have an obvious solution. Just logged in successfully. Quote
TCH-Rob Posted May 27, 2004 Posted May 27, 2004 I put up with it for a few days and it went away. I am not expecting anyone else to do that, I just wasn't doing anything important. Quote
