Can anyone point me please to what I need to install to play wav files in Firefox? I looked at their extension pages and did a google search, but the results were somewhat confusing on the search. I am hesitant to download exe files from unknown websites.

Thanks!

Wave files? Humm.... I don't have a clue... that's the kind of things I usually disable in my browsers...

Have you tried some media players? I know there are a few of them on the Firefox extensions page...

Can use quicktime for inline playing or let it open in winamp... ? That's what I do. =)

Unfortunately, some webpages still manage to blast music at me, unrequested. *sighs*

I know there's a way to set Firefox up to automaticlaly open certain files with a certain application. I can't check now since I don't have access to a PC with Firefox at work. For example, always using Word to open Word docs or always using Winamp to play mp3's.

That might be an option?

I'll have to check when I get home. I just have a short little wav file on my Kitchen page (theme from Good Eats) that won't play for me.

thanks!
