bellringr Posted May 21, 2004 Posted May 21, 2004 Can anyone point me please to what I need to install to play wav files in Firefox? I looked at their extension pages and did a google search, but the results were somewhat confusing on the search. I am hesitant to download exe files from unknown websites. Thanks! Kristi Quote
borfast Posted May 21, 2004 Posted May 21, 2004 Wave files? Humm.... I don't have a clue... that's the kind of things I usually disable in my browsers... Have you tried some media players? I know there are a few of them on the Firefox extensions page... Quote
LisaJill Posted May 21, 2004 Posted May 21, 2004 Can use quicktime for inline playing or let it open in winamp... ? That's what I do. =) Unfortunately, some webpages still manage to blast music at me, unrequested. *sighs* Quote
DarqFlare Posted May 21, 2004 Posted May 21, 2004 yeah... I prefer to launch Winamp 5 to play stuff. Quote
!!blue Posted May 21, 2004 Posted May 21, 2004 I know there's a way to set Firefox up to automaticlaly open certain files with a certain application. I can't check now since I don't have access to a PC with Firefox at work. For example, always using Word to open Word docs or always using Winamp to play mp3's. That might be an option? later, !!blue Quote
bellringr Posted May 21, 2004 Author Posted May 21, 2004 I'll have to check when I get home. I just have a short little wav file on my Kitchen page (theme from Good Eats) that won't play for me. thanks! Quote
