Im giving a friend my old CD burner since I now have a DVD burner, but since I cant give her the programs to it (serial number issues) I am looking for a good reliable CD burner program. Only requirement except it burns everything is that it is freeware. Any suggestions appreciated.

I havent taken it out yet, but I was investigating the cd/dvd plug today as Bob told me to do. then when I tried starting it, it told me there was no bootdisk. Edit: I forgot to say, that I did disconnect its power, but harddrive is still installed.

This noise, can it be because of a harddrive-failure? One of my two harddrives died today.

I cant tell you the answer for number 1, but number 2... I live in Sweden and the connection time is great. I cant tell you any times but I have not noticed any downsides having my sites hosted on TCH than on any swedish servers.

Been thinking about blocking ip´s since I did it myself a while ago. Without knowing if this really works or not, but wouldnt visiting a site via a service like anonymizer.com make the blocking useless?

Ok, I dont think it can be the cd/dvd though since the noise came before I installed the new dvd which means I know the plug are correctly connected. Or is there other reasons (in lack of words) that can make the plug do the noise?

I think I can live with it if Fluffy is the one who are gonna do it.

Power plug for floppy is now unplugged but the noise are still there. Any other suggestions?

Back after installing and trying irfanview for the first time... It froze. Maybe it was because I tried to batch rename about 3000 files. I dont know, will try again tomorrow. Im glad you didnt take my question about linux version too seriously. Congrats to second place in Euro 2004 by the way.

I dont know how it is in the rest of the world, but here it has for the last year been a huge thing in the papers when a new virus etc is found. The result is that more and more common people actually takes these security holes and viruses more serious. The companies and government is another thing. Just a week ago a huge governmental departments whole system just poof...gone. Ok, they had backups, but it took them days to get all back to normal. Why did it poof? Because they had old os:es, not too well updated virusprotection etc. The virus that made them poof was sasser, which arrived to the world a while ago if I remember correct.
