On one of my accounts on server 125 under backups it says the following: On a different account on server 121 it gives me a choice Why is this? Is there any thing I can do to change it on server 125?

Here are some pictures from a recent trip I took to the Atlanta Botanical Gardens. The exhibit is Niki in the Garden. They are mozaic statues set in the gardens. There are also some pictures of the flowers. Check them out! http://www.homesitewebdesigns.com/atlantapics/

How many members does TCH have?

I agree with Bruce. If you are designing a site that you are getting paid for it is your responsibility to make sure anyone can view/use/enjoy it without having to change their computer settings. It would reflect badly on the company (and indirectly on the designer) if people are not able to use the site. Now if you are building a personal website then you can do whatever you choose.

The above method is quick and easy. It has a popup window where you type in your username and password. For a username and password 'page' that would match your site you can do a search for 'php password protection' and you will get lots of sites that have the code so you can intigrate it into your site. How secure are they? I dunno. Personally I don't mind the popup window version. You know it's secure and don't have to worry about code!

Personally I use Joomla! (CMS) with the Virtuemart plugin. I found them very easy to configure! Both Joomla! and Virtuemart have wonderful support in their forums (the support rivals TCH!) It's a little more work to setup since you are using a CMS, but it is so easy to configure the store, payment methods, shipping rates, add/remove products, etc... Also, the admin side is super easy to navigate!

How Do You Promote Your Online Business?
knate5000 replied to knate5000's topic in Running your online business
Thanks for the link. I'm sure the info will come in handy! Anyone else have ideas? -
Just curious how people promote a business they are running online. I just started my busniess so I have a very limited budget. I have business cards with the address and I'm wanting to purchase some 'car magnets'. What else is out there?

I've designed a website for a friend's business. Here's the problem: If you goto www.friendsbusinessname.com it brings up an adult site!! Should we register www.friendsbusiness-name.com and hope no one for gets the '-'? or should we use a name in conjunction with the city it's located in? www.friendsbusinessnamecity.com? Thanks for your advice!

Just looking at the new IE7 (I haven't downloaded it yet) it looks like a clone of FireFox! http://www.microsoft.com/windows/ie/default.mspx Do you think they get mad if you visit microsoft using firefox? You think they track the number of FF users?

Thanks, you guys are so helpful!

Here's the setup: I have a desktop computer I have a wireless router I have a laptop My question is: How do I share files between the two computers? It's a pain to use a memory stick. Or if you know of a good website that has a walk-thru. Thanks in advance!!!
-
Yes you can. Just go to Password Protect Directory, Select the directory, Add users and passwords and you're done!

Did they really have 'modems' like in Wargames, where you had to place the phone's handset on a box......
