I created a Guestbook and a Feedback Form for my website using FP 2003. Both forms are there, but when you hit "submit", the page is not found. Did I miss a step? My Webpage

I got the files out of the folders. I've messed up all the links so I have to do a repair job. I don't know how to change the path file or what to put to make the local site point towards the correct remote site. It's as if FP doesn't believe that my second remote site exists. I'm beginning to wonder if I should call Microsoft's Help Desk, but they charge a fortune, so if someone could try to help me out of the fix first, that would be great. I'm going to talk to a friend today who is married to a guy who builds websites and knows FP to see if he can help. Aaarrrggg...

I fixed the folder problem. I still have pages that are missing graphics and one page missing all together. I still can't publish directly from FP. If I could solve these two problems...

Earlier a TCH guy walked me through publishing from my cpanel. It worked except all of the graphics didn't show up and one page is totally not there. So I figure I have to upload everything by itself. Well, there is so much so I decide to make folders and put everything for one page into a folder. Now everything is messed up. The links don't work. One page doesn't recognize the other. I think I totally screwed up. I don't know what to do. I still can't publish from FP like I should. I'm so frustrated. Does anyone have a clue how I fix my folder screw up.

If I do ftp, I click on that box and then put ftp instead of http when I type in my website, right? I think I did try it, but I'm willing to try it again when I get home.

Yes Rob, you are correct. It will not take my password. I only clicked on the SSL to see if it would make a difference and that's how I learned about the security certificate. If that's not the issue then great. Now the big question - what's keeping me from publishing?

I've bought domain names for website 1 and website 2. I've owned website 1 for almost a year. I bought the domain name (and a second hosting pkg. w/TCH) about 2 weeks ago. Yes, it has propagated. I even put a phpBB forum on and it's already online. I don't know anything about SSL. I just saw that I could click it on FP when I was trying to publish, so I did to see if it made a difference - that is when a box came up and said the security certificate doesn't match the domain name. TCH just closed my 4th ticket and told me to publish w/the same steps I've been doing. It works on their end but not on mine. I've asked the questions about saving it properly and the security certificate, but they won't address it. Yes or no or maybe would be nice. They just keep saying they can do it and closing the ticket. It's starting to make me mad. I feel like they are not listening to me. Something isn't working right or I would be able to publish.

I have two websites. I have two domains for my websites. Website 1 is published and working. Website 2 doesn't want to publish. I open website 2 and click publish. A box comes up. (I have FP 2003). It's marked for FP Sharepoints (whatever that means). In the area where the website is typed - I see website 1 address. So I retype it to show website 2 address. I click ok. The password box comes up. I put in my username and password. I click ok. The box comes back and the password is gone. I've had FOUR tickets and several live chats about this. Frontpage ext. done. Proxy settings done. TCH is able to publish a test page in FP to my site, but I CAN'T. What's up here? I keep asking this question but no one will answer me - is it possible that I have my website 2 saved incorrectly? I don't understand all of the sub domain stuff, so I'm thinking website 2 may be in the wrong file path (FP for Dummies has one paragraph on this...aaarrggg...). When I open website 1 at the top it says Content 'C:/Documents and Settings/My Name/My Documents/My Web Sites/website 1' When I open website 2 (the one I'm trying to publish) at the top it says Content 'C:/Documents and Settings/ My Name/My Documents/My Web Sites/website 2 If I understand this right both sites are on the same file path...so does that mean I have website 2 saved as a sub domain under website 1? If so, how do I fix it? If not, what else could it be? P.S. If I click on SSL (I've tried clicking on lots of stuff), it pops up and tells me that the security certificate doesn't match the domain name. What does that mean? I'm so frustrated. Please somebody help!

I'm a risk taker I suppose...I installed a phpBB forum, but I can't figure out how to get into it as an administrator and set it up. Help!

When I go into my cpanel, there is a place to install a forum. I don't want to do it until I have some idea of what I am doing. I need a tutorial for that. ?????

What is "water marking"? How do you do it? I was only thinking of putting the "mouse trails" (now I know what they are called) on my kid's pages...they like that kind of stuff.

I just realized (not a techie and a bit slow) that TCH allows us to set up a forum (bulletin board) on our website. Is there a "tutorial for dummies" anywhere? I would really like to do this, but I'm clueless. Can someone point me to the beginner's corner? (P.S. I'm using FP).

I don't know what this is called - you know how some people have it fixed so that when they move their mouse, things move across the page with the curser? First, what is it called and second, how do you do it?

At one time (before my computer crashed last summer), I had bookmarked directions for putting Powerpoint presentations on my FP website. I think someone at TCH gave me the info. Does anyone know how to do this? Thanks!

I just received an email from TCH. It said that my domain name is coming up for renewal in June. It instructs me to link and put in my credit card info. I thought I had it on an automatic renewal plan. Anyhow, I recently received a "phishing" email that was very, very official looking from Paypal. It turned out that it wasn't from Paypal at all. So I'm asking TCH - would you send an email like this? Should I forward it back to you so you can see?

I keep answering my own questions...well, I didn't actually find a way to fix the problem, so what I did was make a new table, copy and paste the info. in and delete the uncooperative table. That did the trick!

I managed to put a 3 column table beneath my navigation bar table. I even figured out how to make the text stay to the top instead of moving every time I would type in a different column (that was driving me nuts). Now I have one other problem - The table columns go way down the page. I can't seem to move the bottom of the table up to meet the end of the text. I've tried putting my curser on the bottom and dragging it up. I've tried backspacing it up. I've tried changing the height. Nothing works...another arrrggg...

I put a table (1x1) to the left. I clicked on float and was able to put text to the right of the table. Then I went underneath the table and created a new table (1x7) to act as a navigation bar. It looks perfect in design, but when I look in preview, the second table is moved over to the far right. If I try to put a table beneath the second table and then one beside it (to create columns), the tables shift around in the wrong places. I did find the "width", but it's tricky because it's in percent or pixels, so I'm just guessing. I just want the tables to stay put and to be able to put tables next to each other....arrgggg....

When I right click on table properties, I don't see any options to set width. Also, why is it if I make a table and form it into a square, move it to the left of the page, it won't let me put anything on outside of the table on the right?

Why do the words in tables move around when you type in another column? Is there a way to make everything be still. Also, if I line words up on the side and then try to insert a pic, it moves my words. Is there a way to stop this?
