If someone with a net worth of $50,000 doesn't feel it's worthwhile to pick up a penny, then Bill Gates, whose net worth is around $50 billion, probably wouldn't stoop down to pick up $10,000.

If you do open a ticket, and you do find out that texvc can be installed, I know there are at least a few other users (including me) who would like to know. I've been down this path before with no luck. Understandably, the people who run things here cannot just add things like this anytime a shared-server user asks. However, maybe enough requests from enough interested people might get them to consider it. Curious...are you looking for texvc or an alternative so that you can run MediaWiki?

I had recently done a Joomla install via Fantastico, just to play around. After reading your post, decided to test it out. I too am running into the same problem. So, if it's any consolation, you are not alone.
