  1. sure thing =) thanks! oops that shoulda said 2 months of TCH =) RAR!!! TCH Rocks
  2. Here's my update After a month of TCH, I decided to split off one of my subdomains and it is now hosted on a second account at TCH. Only issue is that billing hasn't downsized my initial account yet, but that's not a huge deal (if anyone reading this can help that along that'd be cool). The other news is that I've now brought several other folks with me I know for a fact that my buddy Falk/Jarvis from eqcleric.com is now hosted here by my recommendation and I also know that Matt brought stuartdavis.com over to TCH as well. There are two others who are considering it. Gotta share the good stuff with your friends right? -Z.
  3. nifty, I'm sending another one your way anyhow
  4. Tony I just wanted to thank you here in public for your fast response to the ssh ticket I had right away when I started. Thanks, man! Z-.
  5. Is there any bonus for referral of a new customer? I mean other than knowing you've helped them find a perfect hosting solution and the knowledge that you've done a good deed? The reason I asked is my friend and colleague Matt asked for a suggestion and came here to TCH last week, plus another friend is looking to move here also. I've got a big mouth! Z-.
  6. Even though I haven't been around for very long (new user as of erm... well last night =)) I have to say that I have also never been so impressed with a host before. The sense of community in the forums is amazing and at the risk of sounding like a dazed newb the responsiveness of both my new home server and the support staff has been incredible. I'm thinking I might get a second account and move one of my subdomains to its own actual domain.
  7. thanks for stopping by the blog on the domain that I'm moving here, how in heck did you find it already?
  8. the backup was created on another host that uses cpanel (not sure of the exact version). when i attempted the restore i browsed to the file on my local machine at the time. if i can upload it to the user root above public_html to restore it that would solve the timeout, is this what i need to do? also the version of cpanel i used did not give me any other option than download daily and i havent pulled it apart to see whats in it if its helpful i can push the backup to the user root and try that, just let me know how to specify the path from cpanel.
  9. *grin* got it and did so Totally understand... most people do not know the joy that is covert minor site updates from work, I mean.... er, I'm innocent! It wasn't me!!! lol...
  10. I got a page cannot be displayed (I'm assuming timeout) attempting a restore through cpanel. Is there a way to do a restore after just ftp'ing up the .tar.gz from the cpanel backup? or is there another suggested course of action. While I'm at it, does the cpanel do a mysqldump as well? Just full of queries today I am
