    Hi

Well, I propgated my own domain forcefully since I controlled the DNS servers it ran on before I moved it here. I just changed them to point to the new IP and it's working fine that way. Made a couple of configuration changes in the admin portion of the board and all is great.
  3. Hey guys. Usually I don't have a problem with these types of scripts, but for some reason I can't get Newspro to work on my website. I uploaded the files to /public_html/cgi-bin/newspro and did a chmod of the newspro folder to 777. Then the newspro.cgi, viewnews.cgi, news.txt, newsdat.txt, ndisplay.pl, and nsettings.cgi all set to 777 as it said in the setup instructions to do if you were having problems. All this to no avail. If you go to http://www.chris-n-kristi.com/cgi-bin/news...pro/newspro.cgi you can see the error I'm getting. Oh, I also made sure that the perl path was set to /usr/bin/perl in the scripts. I also tried setting up the script outside of the cgi-bin, doing the same as above but putting it at /public_html/newspro. If my domain hasn't propagated yet for those that try to help, try going to http://66.246.77.52/~devynn/cgi-bin/newspr...pro/newspro.cgi or http://66.246.77.52/~devynn/newspro/newspro.cgi. Thanks in advance for your help.
  4. If your domain has propagated then you should be able to publish to http://www.******. Try doing that instead of using http://******/www. The /www part is for use with ftp since with ftp you can get below the web root directory.

    Hi

Well, got my account opened this morning and I installed the Invision Power Board. It was really easy to install, even with my domain not propagated yet, and seems pretty easy to configure and track what happens on it. Thanks for all the tips and the warm welcome.
  6. You win........The chance to answer more questions on the message board than Bill!!!

    Hi

lol, well, looks like if I use a board it will probably be phpbb then. I'll probably end up disabling my board before I move the site since it probably won't be configured properly once it is moved to the new server.
  8. Look! They are tied! 417 each as of this post!

    Hi

The bulletin board was something more to play around with. It doesn't get used to much, but I haven't tried phpbb. Maybe I can look that over.
  10. Thanks Bill. I don't mind having to zip things up. I just wanted to be prepared instead of trying to send or receive a file and it get blocked for some reason.

    Hi

hehe, well, I didn't make those, I found them at another site and decided to host the files on my site for ease of use. But they are great, aren't they!
  12. Glad I took a look at this thread. I didn't know there were server side filters on email attachments. Just out of curiousity, what all extentions are filtered out?

    Hi

Hello everyone. I've been reading great things about TCH and I just signed up today. Looking forward to my account opening and transfering my domain over. I just thought I'd stop in and say hello to everyone.
