This is really strange. When I load my FTP application, I came login and see the first level of folders; etc, public_html etc. But when I try to acces any folder it just times out. It's the same for both domains. I tried using my laptop and it's the same, so it's definatley something to do with my ISP. Unfortunately they never reply to my emails and calling them takes ages. The tracert seemed to respond normally. Spooky

Hi, I have two websites host at TCH www.planetphillip.com and www.blazebolden.com Neither of them are loading on my PC. All other sites run fine. They are both on the same server 51 or 57 ( sorry can't remember which). When I load the blaze one, the index page loads but nothing else, the planet one nothing loads. The Cpanel password appears but it never connects. I thought my problem was the routing issue but I still can't see them. Any ideas?

HI, I have two domains hosted at TCH, one of server 51 and the other on server 57. When I log into Cpanel the view is different. Both are the same version: Version/Build 8.8.0-STABLE Build 74. How do I change the theme? I prefer the one on server 57. From the url I guess it's called X2 and the other is called Monsoon. I looked in the help and it says: "Your hosting provider may allow you to change between various themes." Does TCH allow changes? TIA Phillip

I also recently switched a domain to TCH and mine switched back and forth between the new and the old. But things worked fine in the end.

Thanks for replying. I tried editing the hosts file but it doesn't seem to work. I will leave it edited and see if it makes a diffeence when I start the PC tomorrow. One point, currently my new host address is: http://69.93.215.165/~username/ I have tried it with the name and without. As I said neither seems to work. It's no problem though, I still pulling my hair out over some CSS. Thanks again

OK. It works with "menu.php" and no path but I want to add the code to all pages, even ones in subfolders etc. "/home/youraccount/public_html/menu.php" doesn't work. Any thoughts?

HI, I'm so happy with TCH that I've decided to move one of my websites here. I was planning to get the site working before change the DNS. I am trying to use a php include function but am receiving the following error: Warning: main(): Failed opening '/usr/local/apache/htdocs/menu.php' for inclusion (include_path='.:/usr/lib/php:/usr/local/lib/php') in /home/username/public_html/index.php on line 28 Is this because the DNS needs to update before they will work? The exact same page works on the real live site. I have removed the username TIA

Jikrantz, I really appreciate your help. Thanks. I created the DB, I wish they told you that you needed to create one manually in the readme and install intructions! The path that I needed was /usr/local/bin/ (Just in case anybody else should need to know). Everything seems fine. Thanks Again

Thanks for the link. I still have a few questions. 1. Do I have to install ImageMagick on my domain? 2. If so, how? There is not a one-click install from my CPanel. 3. The installation page asks for a database name. Do I need to create the DB by hand, or can I just give it a name that I want it to create?

Hi, I want to install Coppermine Photo Gallery. "Coppermine is a multi-purpose fully-featured and integrated web picture gallery script written in PHP using GD or ImageMagick lib with a MySQL backend." I have no experience in either GD or ImageMagick and was wondering if anybody has them installed here at TCH. I have only glance at the installation guides of both and thought I'd hear your opinions before I delved deeper. This last software I tried to install , Greymatter (On another host), caused real problems, so I am wary of rushing in where angels fear to tread. This is from the email I received: "Yes you account has been suspended. It's because of one of your scripts which used more than usual resource (CPU). Scripts name is gm-comments.cgi and you need to remove it from the system as soon as possible. Second report of such violation can result in termination of your account." That is one of the reasons I decided to look for a new host and happily found TCH! So, in a way, it was a good thing. TIA Phillip

Hi, I’ve just finished my first month with you guys and am very happy to be part of the family. I have a question regarding domain forwarding. I bought a new domain name specifically for the new TCH hosting package but I have 2 other domain names hosted on www.dayanhost.com. Whilst they were great for very cost-conscious starters like me ($5 for 10Mb a year) I would like to consolidate my hosting. Here are the domains in question: www.blazebolden.com (hosted at TCH) www.phillipmarlowe.com (Hosted a Dayana host) www.planetphillip.com (Hosted at Dayana Host) If I create folders on my TCH package like this: www.blazebolden.com/phillipmarlowe/ www.blazebolden.com/planetphillip/ have the domains forwarded with masking and use an FTP client to upload my current planetphillip and phillipmarlowe files, including any db’s etc, when a visitor types www.planetphillip.com they will be forwarded to www.blazebolden.com/planetphillip/ but will see www.planetphillip.com. Is that correct? But what happens if the type www.planetphillip.com/gamefeatures ? Do they get taken to www.blazebolden.com/planetphillip/gamefeatures ? Will I need to adjust all my links in my other sites or will the relative links still work? How will this effect my CPanel control? Will I just administer them as sub folders? I’m sorry to ramble on, but when you are kinda new to this hosting thing it’s easy to make assumptions and costly mistakes. TIA Phillip
