  1. A distant client (cannot access machine) is trying to pick up mail with her Mac / OS10 / Mail (built in mail client?) / ISP=AOL. She started having problems with SMTP and now POP. For some time she was picking up mail fine - cannot be for certain that she ever sent OK. She gets "pw not accepted." We turned on server authentication, triple checked all settings and changed the pw. I can use her POP/SMTP from my XP/Outlook machine - no problems. Any insight is appreciated. Not sure if it is AOL, her local machine or what. Any previous problems with AOL or Macs?
  2. DUHHH - Now I see it. The change pw option resides on the same screen as the different mail clients (Neo, Horde, Squirrel). . . . but you already knew that! thanks for the quick responses.
  3. Hmmm, maybe I'm blind. I did just that earlier and clicked everywhere, but couldn't find a pw option. After your post I did it again and still don't see a pw option. I'm entering horde as you described.
  4. I am a reseller and set up an account for customer.com. I'm also their web developer. The client wants to change his own email pw for security. I won't want to provide them access to cPanel for they are not computer literate and that would give them too much control. How can the email owner access and change their personal email without accessing cPanel?
  5. Dittos! As a relative newbie I had the sample contact form working properly in 10 minutes. Thanks!
  6. I'm confused also. Based on the instructions, I thought that I could see SpamBox with Horde.
  7. I enabled Spam Assassin and Spam Box. Enter Horde, but don't see a folder named SpamBox, Spam, or whatever - only the inbox. There is a drop-down menu with Inbox, but not SpamBox. It appears Spam Assassin is working, I just need to locate the mail for review and deletion.
  8. FIXED. I had turned on the SMTP option in the admin panel. All is well after turning it off. Makes perfect sense.
  9. This phpbb forum was created by TCH staff because there was a glitchy pw issue. A couple of us tested with multiple registrations and all worked fine. Today someone registered and got this error: ________________________ Ran into problems sending Mail. Response: 550 Authentication turned on in your email client. DEBUG MODE Line : 152 File : /home/ath1958/public_html/forum/includes/smtp.php ________________________ I replicated the problem from my machine (which worked fine a week ago). Any advise is appreciated. http://atheistsnsd.org/forum
