Hi guys, I've been using a Deluxe reseller account for a while now at TCH and I'm more than happy with guys, with the service and the rest, TCH is just what I needed. For one of my customer, I'd need a larger bandwidth and web space and I would need to install a ticketing system that might be available when the customer's account is not. My idea to achieve that goal should be to install the customer's account on a semi-dedicated server (new account) and the ticketing system on my current reseller's account. The probability that both aren't available at the same time seems pretty low to me. I'd like to know what you guys think about this solution and also, I need to know the time you need to open a semi-dedicated server account? Thanks a lot for your help, Cheers Stéphane

Hello Guys, I'm already using a reseller account at TCH and I'm more than happy with it but I'm thinking of moving to a Semi-Dedicated Fully Managed server. But when I look at the specs on the website, it seems to be quite old machines (P3) to me. I'm not an hardware guru but I guess there is a possibility that those machines have been upgraded since the website has been updated itself... Can someone tell me more about the specs of the dedicated server? By the way, do you know if it's possible to have one located in Europe instead of the US? Thanks a lot for your help! Stéphane

Thanks Bob for your answer. Cpanel does work but is not really nice to use for regular ftp maintenance... So according to you, it's not possible to access my ftp account with a ftp client through another port that could be open on the firewall? Cheers Stéphane

Hi guys, I've got a trivial question for you guys, the gurus ... I try to access my ftp account using a regular ftp client. When I'm hoe through my DSL line it works perfectly, I use it all the time. But during the day, I'm in the office and my customer's firewall doesn't seem to allow any traffic on port 21 (the ftp client can't connect). So my question is: Is it possible to connect to my ftp account (ftp.mywebsite.com) through another port? Thanks for your help!!! Cheers Stéphane

Hi guys, I know for sure (Im' working in the it department of the company) that nothing is installed locally on the desktop I'm using in the office. More over, I also sometimes use my own laptop but through the company's network. So my questions is more focused on what goes on this networks. So, when using the webmail interface but through the httpS interface (not the http), is the content of any page visible or encrypted? thanks S.

Hi Guys, I've got a newbie question, sorry about that... I'm using sqmail to read my emails when I'm at my customer's side (so logged through his network). I'd like to be sure that my login/password are safely transfered on the network and that nobody in the company can read of log the email I receive and I send with the Sqmail interface. I realized that when I'm connecting through the address: https://www.****/sqmail I arrive normaly to my webmail connexion page. Does anybody know if it's enough to garanty me that my email information (loggin and content) are safely encrypted on the network? The server doesn't require any other logon than my email login and password, is the connexion still secured? If not, how can I be sure my email doesn't travel unencrypted on the network? Hi thanks for your answer. I understand why you are confused (sorry for my bad english but coming from Belgian, I'm French Speaker) The first situation is the one I face. Off course my first idea what to make the .lu domain points to the .com domain at registrar level but I have no way of beeing sure that the company that is currently hosting the .com domain will do his part. So yes, the .lu is hosted in TCH domain and the .com is hosted somewhere else. About the waste, I'm having a reselle account and in the meantime (I plan to go on on tryint to contact the other hosting company) I'd love to know how I can redirect the .lu to the .com domain... Hi guys, I've got a simple question, sorry if it seems obvious. Actually I'd like to make the opposite of a parked domain. I've got a customer who owns the domain name www.mysite.com and asked me to buy for him the www.mysite.lu domain (his company is in luxembourg) and asked me that this domain points to the previous www.mysite.com one. My first idea was that the company who owns and handle www.mysite.com does it and park www.mysite.lu but he seems to have fw or no contacts with them. So I bougth the domain name and have it arrive on a TCH account. My question is: how can I redirect the people surfing on www.mysite.lu to www.mysite.com? HI Dennis, thanks for your help on this I understand now how it works. Basically installing a new version of squirrel mail is like installing any PHP application. So I remade all your process, line after line, changing the bold parts you metionned and I still get the same error when I try to connect to my new path... HI guys, I followed all the steps you mention in the tutorial but I can't connect to the new squirrelmail installation. When I'm typing *****/sqmail i got the previous login screen (automatically filled as *****/sqmail/src/login.php). Where is the new installation path? the new loggin? Hi guys, I've got some questions that will look very straight forward for you I'm sure, but I'm not very familiar with sqmail... I'm currently using Sqmail on a resseler account. Here are my question: - following Dennis's tutorial, shall I overwrite the previous sqmail installation (the standard TCH one)? - I'm using sqmail because it's available on port 80, will the new version be available through port 80 too? - if i'm doing all those modifications on the resseler account, will those modification be available for all the children accounts too? If not, must I redo everything once per account? - Is there a way of going back to the current version of sqmail if something goes wrong? - By the way, is-is possible to acces another mail package through port 80? thanks a lot guys! Hi guys, sorry about this obvious question but does that mean that in order to send email messages using a securised connection (encrypted with SSL) to my smtp server, I just have to put the setting in Outlook behind the mail account settings with "This server requires an encrypted connexion" ticked on and specifying to use the port 465? For instance, I've got my account hosted at TCH, let's say www.myaccount.com The POP3 and SMTP servers are both mail.myaccount.com. May I just set the parameters as stated before and I'll be using encrypted connexion to the SMTP server? By the way can I deny non authorized connexion to the server (connexion with valid email address/password)? thanks for your help guys!

Hi everyone! i'd like to keep a copy of outgoing mails beeing sent in one specific domain name either through webmail or using the SMTP. So basically, if someone uses his webmail to send a mail, I get a copy and if someone uses his outlook mail client (or other of course) sending the mail through the smtp server of my account, I keep a copy. Do you know if it's possible and how I can do it? Thanks in advance for any help!

Hi there, I've been using TCH for months now from Belgium and Luxembourg and so are my Belgian, French and Luxembourgian Customers. Response time have been amazing so far. We are using 3Mbits ADSL connexion and are almost always at top speed when downloading... Hope this helps, regards S

Hi all, I'm using squirell all the time... not really because I like it but because when I'm using webmail it's because I need to check my mails form a customer's network, thus through firewalls and Squirell is the only one (at least as far as I know) that allows you to check your email with a web client using http port 80. If someone has another idea of checking mail through firewall (that obviously blocks other ports and especially the one used by Neo or Horde) I'll be glad to read it. So please, don't get rid of squirel!!!! Cheers, S.

If I sign up for a deluxe reseller account like I intend to do, I'd like to have all domains pointing to ns1.myprofdomain.com (for instance). Shall you do the name change? will you also migrate the data etc... shall I have to redo all configuration (mail boxes creation etc...) for all those domains? Must I foresee some down time for those migration? I currently own 3 domains hosted by TCH in addition to the main domain and I intend to make come 2 extra ones hosted by another hosting company. Hi, I currenlt own some silver accounts hosted by TCH and am very pleased with them! Great service! Some of my customers or relatives would like to work with us and have the same kind of service... it's obvious to us that we will need to manage a reseller account. My questions are the following: I already own myprofsite.com and hosted it on a silver account here. I also own myprivatesite.be and anotherprivatesite.com with 2 separated silver accounts. - Is it possible to "change" or upgrade the myprofsite.com account into a reseller account (that would be the parent) and then to add the other ones below the same account? if yes, what will happen to the 3 silver hosting? shall I cancell them? - Is it automatically done when I'll move the DNS to the new place? - can I have some ns1.myprofsite.com and ns2.myprofsite.com dns info for professional use? - will there be any difference in the administration of features of the children domain (myprivatesite.be and anotherprivatesite.com and the next ones)? thanks for your help!!! regards, Stéphane
