In Cpanel, I clicked "webmail" and I get : "Please choose a webmail program" message, but there is no webmail program listed. Just blank where the usual webmail program would be and the only option was to "Go back". Then I tried logging via: mydomainname.com/webmail and I get this: "You are logged in as myname@mydomainname.com" The only options are: - change password - forwarding - autoresponder - aging - logout What happened to webmail? Anyone having similar problems to this? Thanks.

Question On Awstats Cookies
dreamcloudwolf replied to dreamcloudwolf's topic in CPanel and Site Maintenance
Okay. Thanks for the input. More food for thought. Many thanks. -
What kind of cookies are used in awstats? I clear browser's Temporary cookies quite often, so I'd like to know the specific names so when I go onto the website, it doesn't register me as a "unique" user everytime I go on it, giving me false positives. Thanks.

I'm a bit rusty with the details on why's but... I think using /index.html is better than using the whole URL. But if you're using frames on your website, then I'd suggest using the whole URL otherwise it will only show partial content when someone finds you through via search engine.

Figuring Out My Ip Address
dreamcloudwolf replied to dreamcloudwolf's topic in CPanel and Site Maintenance
Okay. I've checked out those links and they came back as same numbers as the one I checked online. Many thanks to all who responded on figuring out what my IP really is. Thumbs Up I always thought my IP address was the one displayed when I run command which gets this: 123.123.1.55 But then, I knew a friend who had the same result, thus increasing my confusion. If every single IP is different then why did that friend have same IP address? I guess we both were barking up the wrong tree with running the "ipconfig /all" command. I'm using a DSL router, which probably accounts for different IP addresses. Thanks again for your help. -
Thought I'd tinker with AWStats, and learn something new. For some time I wanted to try to exclude my ip address from being counted as part of AWStats. From what I can see, it will be reset unless set to read only. See configuring AWStats at: http://www.totalchoicehosting.com/forums/i...hl=awstats&st=0 My problem is that I'm not too sure what my ip address is. When I typed in "ipconfig /all" command on my computer, it listed ip address, subnet mask, default gateway, and DNS servers. Following numbers are provided and substituted, as an example. ip address: 123.123.1.55 DNS server: 62.8.12.90 But when I go online and do the ip check on my browser, it says something like: Your ip address is: 62.8.105.52 Notice the similarities with ip address with DNS Server number, and leaves me more confused than ever.

It works fine on my computer on both Netscape 7.1 and IE 6. I think maybe it has to do with your browser settings. Something to do with your browser's cache.

Dunno where to place this... But with all the free software out there, I thought I'd share the list with you folks... So I did a search for a list of known spyware software and I found a list called: SISL List of Known Spyware Infested Software Cheers.

Netscape Email Configuration Problems
dreamcloudwolf replied to dreamcloudwolf's topic in CPanel and Site Maintenance
Although, I still get those pop up message about certified authority. When I click on View Certificate, it says it's likely to be server34@totalhostingchoice.com, so I just ignore it from now on? -
Netscape Email Configuration Problems
dreamcloudwolf replied to dreamcloudwolf's topic in CPanel and Site Maintenance
Excellent!! Adding port number 26 to 'Outgoing Server' did the trick! I didn't have to uncheck "use secure connection" for it works with and without secure connection. Thank you! Thumbs Up -
Netscape Email Configuration Problems
dreamcloudwolf replied to dreamcloudwolf's topic in CPanel and Site Maintenance
Yes, the "use secure connection" is on. It won't accept ":26" part of server name. I'm using DSL and a router hub. Am still stuck on this. Any other ideas? -
Netscape Email Configuration Problems

help? -
I had a similar problem like this, but my problem was forgetting to assign the user to database in Cpanel. Assigning user to database Scroll where there are 2 dropdown boxes with a button that says: [Add User to Db]. In the dropdown boxes, select your database and username, which would say: mydomainname_mtdb mydomainname_John Click [Add user to Db] Hope that helps.

Netscape Email Configuration Problems
dreamcloudwolf replied to dreamcloudwolf's topic in CPanel and Site Maintenance
Already checked, and searched the forums for Netscape problems. I've subsituted the IP address for both Server names in Server Settings and Outgoing Server. No go. When I opened Mail & Newsgroups to view my email, I still received warning messages about Certified Authority - I forget what it says, it was a little different than the original message about Certified Authority. If you want details of that warning message, let me know 'cuz I need to exit Netscape to get the message to pop up again. I tried again to send mail from the account with IP address as Server name, I got the following: Sending of message failed. The message could not be sent because connecting to SMTP server 69.50.194.230 failed. The server may be unavailble or is refusing SMTP connections. Please verify that your SMTP server setting is correct and try again, or else contact your network administrator. I've been thinking. Where does Horde get the emails from? It's webmail right? Does Horde get and sends email from mail.****? -
I’ve been trying to set up it up so that I can use Netscape 7.1 to check my emails on Horde. Already have three users set up for emails in Horde – the Main account, spam account, and Jane account. Problem: - Receive emails from Horde, but I cannot send emails from Netscape. - Whenever I connect, it says things like: ----- Unable to verify the identity of server34.totalchoicehosting as trusted site. ----- Your browser does not recognize Certified authority ----- You’re connected to a site pretending to be a server What I did in setting it up: In Account Settings, I’ve entered the following: (I’m substituting names for everything, so you can get the idea what I’ve done so far) Account name: Main website Your name: Jane Email address: jane@**** In Server Settings Server Type: POP Mail Server Server Name: mail.**** User Name: jane@**** (this is not my main account that I used to sign in cpanel with) In Outgoing Server Server Name: mail.**** I’ve tried using ‘****’ instead of ‘mail.****’ for server names, but all I am able to do is retrieve emails. Am I overlooking something?

Another way is use php script which switches the real image with a blank image. See demo and get the script at: http://www.scriptygoddess.com/archives/003389.php Of course, it's not gonna solve the problem of screenshots. Still, I thought that script was really good.

It came as a surprised when i first logged in. But I like it. Thumbs Up Functionality is basically the same - links grouped in same areas, so it shouldn't be too hard to use. I wonder, what comes after "X"? Will there be a "Y"?
