  1. yay! thanks a mil, !!blue
  2. Let's say I wanna be fancy & have SSI includes for my footers/meta tags for all the pages in my weblog ok? I'd have to change all my file names to thisPage.shtml no? So, would movable type complete shut down if I did this? wouldn't the pages just re-write themselves to default *.html instead of *.shtml? what, oh, what can I do to pull this of? can I pull this off? thanks, !!blue
  3. dude! why u gotta make me cry @ work? so touching...
  4. well the answer I got from the website that I downloaded the PHP form from is this: i think that's enough for me boxturt: I feel your pain; usually the bookstore I frequent never has a certain book
  5. Musta been a fluke, I'm in now. later, !!blue
  6. Keep getting this error when I try to log into my Horde email: >Notice: unserialize() failed at offset 0 of 36 bytes in /usr/local/cpanel/base/horde/lib/Auth.php on line 250 should I wait awhile? don't understand what the error means; thought I'd post it anyway. I'm on Server 27. later, !!blue
  7. I have a PHP form that I use on my site that is very easy. My question is, is it secure? Here's the code: ><table width="370" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" border="0"> <tr> <td colspan="2"> <?php $to = "myEMail@here.com"; $from_header = "From: $Name <$Email>"; if($Email != "" || $Email == "^[_\\.0-9a-z-]+@([0-9a-z][0-9a-z-]+\\.)+[a-z]{2,3}$") { mail($to,"Subject","\n$Name\n$Email\n\nComments...\n$Message\n",$from_header); print ("<span class=side><b>Your note has been sent! Send another if you like!</b></span><br>"); } else { echo "<span class=side><b>Send me a note!</b></span><br>"; } ?> </td> <form method="POST" action="<? echo ($PHP_SELF); ?>"> <tr align="left" valign="top"> <td width="75"><p class="side">Name:</p> </td> <td><input type="text" name="Name" size="30" maxlength="30"></td> </tr> <tr align="left" valign="top"> <td><p class="side">E-mail:</p></td> <td><input type="text" name="Email" maxlength="30" size="30"></td> </tr> <tr align="left" valign="top"> <td><p class="side">Message:</p></td> <td><textarea name="Message" wrap rows="5" cols="30"></textarea></td> </tr> <tr align="center" valign="top"> <td><br> <input type="submit" name="submit" value="Send"><br> <br> </td> <td><br> <input type="reset" name="reset" value="Clear"><br> </td> </tr> </form> </table> Should I use something else? is this form susceptible to hacker/spam attacks? thanks, !!blue
  8. F E L I Z N A V I D A D!! (where's the smiley face w/the santa hat?)
  9. thanks! good advice! also will make a back up of the AWStats file too.
  10. Ok, I've added the name of the gif image to the AWStats config file. But the image is still now showing up in my forum signature. Do I have to wait awhile for the new config file to take affect? Also, do I have to add anything in the hotlinking protection feature to allow access to this one gif? thanks a mil, !!blue [edit] turns out I did have to add the forums address to the "allow" section in the HotLink Protection list. I shoulda figured that one out! Thanks again, !!blue [/edit]
  11. Thanks Steven, Kevin! This is why: Rock Sign Had almost forgotten about that one thread I started back when I had first joined up. later, !!blue
  12. where's this AWSTATS conf file i can add these lines of code to? thanks !!blue [edit] ok, found the file; do i need to add the entire URL of where the image is or just the name of the image? I'm thinking just the name cuz it is in the root folder (public_html). thanks again, !!blue [/edit]
  13. So I want to add the following stats to show up in my AWStats as quoted from the AWStats website: What tags do I need to add to the index page to have these show up in AWStats? I couldn't find this info on their website. thanks, !!blue
  14. when i did that, the awstats showed hits from TCH forums because it keeps pulling the image from my website. so i moved it to the geocities webspace so the stats wouldn't be skewed. won't be using the image anymore, just straight text
  15. errr... there should be an image as part of the background of that box what am i doing wrong? [edit]so i guess I can't do it, huh? kinda funny! oh well, back to the drawing board[edit]
  16. Here's the code for my TCH forum signature and I don't think the image is showing up correctly. The image is on the free webspace that comes with having a yahoo e-mail. I had the image on my website here but was getting too many hits which was skewing the webstats a bit. ><div style='background-image: url(http://www.geocities.com/amor_veneno/myError.gif); font: normal bold small "Trebuchet MS", sans-serif; color:#ffffff; line-height:1; letter-spacing:2px; text-align:left; padding: 10px; border: 1px dotted #3399FF; width:320px; height: 240px; margin-top:2px'> % !!blue % <span style='letter-spacing:1px; font: normal bold small "Trebuchet MS", sans-serif;'>· <a href="http://www.zoblue.com/" title="web design portfolio" target="_blank">portfolio</a> · <a href="http://www.zoblue.com/mt/" title="thoughts, new ideas, and general rants & raves" target="_blank">weblog</a> ·</span> </div> or is my browser not showing it correctly? thanks, !!blue
  17. hmm... I guess that's why Yahoo & Hotmail have that feature to turn off images when opening e-mails until you say it's okay to show them. Because then the server the images are stored on would know your email is an active one. oh well, guess I can't have everything Does SquirrelMail or Neomail have inline HTML-enabled email? I'd have to have to change tho. thanks, !!blue
  18. Hi, anyone know how to set Horde email to receive html email in the body of the email instead of as an attachment? thanks, !!blue
  19. Wow! I had almost forgotten about Aeon Flux! But I still can't ignore the classic Betty Boop, so she gets my vote.

    Xhtml

A friend of mine, whom I trust, let me know that he's been running into issues with XHTML. First he told me this: then he told me this when I let him know what software TCH has: can u guys give me a second opinion and also maybe some more info? I don't really understand what he's talking about. thanks, !!blue happy thanksgiving! give thanks because it could always be worse but you can always make it better!
  23. so... I can delete the .htaccess in my various subfolders (if they are there) so they call can work off of/refer to the main .htaccess in the public_html folder? Also, some of the .htaccess have this as their code: >Options All -Indexes I don't know what that means. Anyhow, I think I'll just have my main .htaccess in the root (public_html) and copy/paste the code into my three main folders (html portfolio, flash portfolio, weblog) .htaccess files and leave the others alone. blah. But let me know of anything else I should know. thanks again, !!blue ps: and no, you weren't *that* cryptic Thumbs Up
  24. I was updating my htaccess file and I can't remember which one is the master or even if there is one master. Do I make the changes only in the htaccess in the root folder? or make the changes to all the htaccess's in every folder? If a folder doesn't have one, do I put one in there? thanks, !!blue
