Talwynor Posted April 23, 2004 Posted April 23, 2004 I'm sifting through the php site, but can anyone point me in the right direction? I'm looking into replacing the default graphic in the upper left hand corner (the php tents). Is it hard to do? Quote
TCH-Don Posted April 23, 2004 Posted April 23, 2004 What are you trying to mod? A forum, guestbook, php website and which version? Quote
Talwynor Posted April 23, 2004 Author Posted April 23, 2004 Oops...meant to be more specific with phpBB. I have version 2.0.6 that comes preinstalled with the totalchoice hosting plan (love that!) Id like to get the style of the message board to more closely match my website...The easiest way to do it is replace the phpbb tent graphic with my website logo (assuming I can). Quote
TCH-Bruce Posted April 23, 2004 Posted April 23, 2004 Yes, you can replace that image with one of your own. It's called logo_phpbb.gif and is located in the "images" folder of the template you are using. Quote
DarqFlare Posted April 23, 2004 Posted April 23, 2004 Yeah, just create another image of the same dimensions (It could be sized differently, but I'm not sure), and save it as that filename and overwrite. Then you're all set. Quote
Talwynor Posted April 26, 2004 Author Posted April 26, 2004 Ok, thanks for the help! I was able to get the graphic on and it looks good. Now I'm trying to place a hyperlink so I can go back to the main website from the logo. My understanding is I need to do this by getting to the file named overall_header.tpl, then find {U_INDEX} and replace it with my homepage url. Except I'm not sure how to do that...do I open with an html editor or does the tpl extension indicate something different? Is there an easier way to add a hyperlink to the logo? Quote
TCH-Rob Posted April 26, 2004 Posted April 26, 2004 For something simple like that I find it using the File Manager in cPanel and edit it right there. Click save at the bottom and bingo, all fixed. Quote
TCH-Bruce Posted April 26, 2004 Posted April 26, 2004 Rob is correct. Use the editor in cPanel's file manager or use a text editor on your own machine like Notepad. Remember to upload the file in ASCII mode and not Binary. Quote
