Hey folks,

I've searched high and low, and now I'm turning to the community for help. I've read that osCommerce is available to TCH customers via a script in cPanel, but I can't seem to find it. Within cPanel, under 'CGI Scripts' there are options for Agora Cart, phpMyChat, etc. And there''s also a section called Addon Scripts, within which are options to install InvisionBoard and PHP-Nuke...

... but nary a sign of osCommerce.

Any thoughts, folks?

Open a ticket, the link is at the top of this page titled Help Desk. It should be under Addon Scripts. Let them know the server number you are on and that osCommerce is not there.

Thanks for the tip! I did just that and am already up and running with osCommerce. Big Thumbs Up for TCH!

Any problems configuring or customising osCommerce to suit your needs, just let me know and I'll help if I can

Ali.

Thank you for the offer.

I'm a web design / 3D visualization / branding guy, doing my first E-Commerce project for a regular client. It's far, far beyond anything I've done before (I'm typically an interface guy, with solid HTML / CSS skills, but nothing on the development side) and there are a million things to be learned before I can even get the ball rolling.

Merchant Accounts, Payment Gateways, shipping modules, SSL certificates, databases, shopping carts, etc. I'm in a fairly good spot now, with developer duties subcontracted out, and all the major decisions made. It's time now to get my interface design mojo working, and that means learning me some PHP so I can rip osCommerce six ways from Sunday and customise it like the gurus at paulharris.com did.

We shall see! Getting OSC installed last night was a very helpful step. I'm already tinkering and learning.

Hi.

I have a very quick question about the e-commerce script.

When a page of the catalog appears, a title near the top says, "Let's See What We Have Here."

Is it possible to configure the catalog to display any text other than that? If so, where is the option to configure it? Thank you! Jd
