Okay. In the past 24 hours I've opened help tickets and emailed old registrars...the problem's still there.

Here is the old site splash page which is still coming from my old registrar because it isn't located anywhere else [it's in black and white and says something about switching hosts]:

Here's the new site, all ready to go with its splash page [same picture in color with hyperlinks below]:

Here's what the friendly domain people at TCH said:

"Thank you for writing customer support. There is a difference between modifying the name servers of a domain and transferring the domain. Transferring the domain will move it to our registration services, modifying the nameservers will just point the domain to a different location for it's hosting. It appears that the domain name was transferred to our service without a problem, so the domain is active and available for access on your customer account. If you are having problems with accessing your hosting account, please contact our hosting department for further assistance."

Evidently, SOMETHING hasn't been done correctly or the domain would be reading from TCH instead of from my old registrar, who, by the way, also says the switch went off without a hitch:

"Please go to your new registrar. You have transfered this domain and it

has nothing to do with us any more."

Is there something *I'M* supposed to do? What the heck?

I just replied to the ticket I had open already, so hopefully they'll be able to answer better this time. [i didn't give them the web addresses as visual aids last time.]

But aside from all that, does anyone know if there's anything I'm supposed to be doing in order for the switch to work? I didn't think there was, but I've started feeling like such a dumb*ss since it didn't work like I thought it would the first time...

Hi Angela,

I can't see your ticket - so I'm not sure where something is going wrong there...

were you submiting via the help desk ?

Basically you will need to update the nameservers, then the domain name will start to propagate.

Yes, original ticket was AWA-89775, then I submitted it to the domain people because I guess I'd put it in the wrong place. They gave it a different number:

Incident: 040325-000642

How do I update the nameservers? And isn't that what the message from customer support said I *didn't* need to do? I had thought that was the problem too...

Angela,

I'm definitely no guru, but I think I know what your problem is. The nameserver is changed not via your old host, but via the registrar of your domain name, the company that you purchased your domain name from and registered it through.. Mine, for example, is is itsyourdomain.com. When you log on to that company's site, you should find a link to a page where you can manage your account and point your nameserver to your new home here at TCH.
