angela29 Posted March 15, 2004 Posted March 15, 2004 I've been looking for the right place to put this in the forums and can't find it, so I thought I'd plop it right in the middle of the road and let one of you guys move it appropriately. About a week or two ago I bought webspace here and checked the little box that said I'd update my nameservers,etc. I wanted to get the new site running before I pointed the name over here. Thing is, the name expires with my old host at the end of July. Should I just go ahead and do the $10.95 for transfer and renewal for another year with you guys? Is that even a possibility now? Or would I be better off to do the transfer myself? If so, where do I go to do this, and how? Thanks, Angela Quote
TCH-Rick Posted March 15, 2004 Posted March 15, 2004 You have two options and either should work depending upon the rules of the registrar of the domain. If you have access to manage the nameservers of the domain you can change them to ns1.totalchoicehosting.com and ns2.totalchoicehosting.com and the domain will resolve to our servers. The other option is to transfer the registration of the domain to us for $10.95. This does include an additional year of registration so you do not lose any of your current time. You still would need to change the nameservers so I advise doing that first. Any questions on how and where to change this information should be addressed to the registrar of the domain. Quote

The same day I signed up for space here, I sent them an email saying that I was switching and asking them if there was anything that needed to be done with them before the switch could take effect.
