I looked for tutorial or "howTO:" but could not find one, if I missed it forgive me, been on my pute almost all day looking for www.totalchoicehosting.com lmao

We have a currently hosted domain name listed at tocows. Will I be able to transfer my web pages and MySQL phpbb, files and such then have a day or two to make everything (bit of php stuff) work? then migrate email and send tocows to dns.tch.com? I am unsure how this would work without a dedicated IP (to be able to veryify scripts and such).

Gotta grab the boss to set up account, then do my stuff. But I am in outside sales also, not a ton of time for me to get it done ASAP.

You'll get a welcome email that will explain how to access the account before you change your DNS.

And if you get too stuck, just make another post asking for help. I've moved over a dozen domains by setting up the new accounts, copying all the contents over, testing them, and then cutting DNS over.

As BG said above, you will get an email with a server name and info to goto for testing and such. Some of your stuff may not work if you have hard-coded the domain name into the links. If it worked before, though, it should work now. Notice the "should" in there.

Your other question is pretty simplae and has Yes written all over it.

You will need to make sure that your A and MX records are changed once you are ready to go. Keep in mind, though, that this change can take a couple of days, so do not kill off the old site and email accts until at least 72 hours after the DNS entries are made. And make sure to check in both places for email and such.

Keep in mind (if you did not already know) that even though you might be seeing the new site, this doesn't mean the whole world can. Wait the full 72 hours before taking down the old site.
