Outgoing Server Requires Authentication?

Hi guys! I notice the FAQ about setting up OE with the mail account. When I used the cPanel built-in setup for O/OE, it imported to Outlook using the "My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication" and "Use same settings as my incoming mail server."

 

These are not the default settings and are also not referred to in the FAQ post. Hmmm. So my domain name hasn't fully propagated yet, so I can't do the testing myself.

 

Do you know of a reason that the Authentication should be done? Or is it really ok not to worry about it?
