Alan Posted January 29, 2004 Posted January 29, 2004 Hey, As of last week, I have started getting a alert everytime I open my File Manager in cPanel. The Alert Says: "Attempting to connect to local computer through use of BackDoor/SubSeven Trojan Horse Detected." I have scanned my computer over and over with Norton Antivirus 2004 and yes it is up-to-date. Is there anyway that TCH can get my server scanned or my control panel scanned for the horse or is there a way that I can do it myself? Thanks! Quote
TCH-Andy Posted January 29, 2004 Posted January 29, 2004 Hi Alan, I checked the server - and I tried logging into cpanel - all clear. Andy Quote
Alan Posted January 29, 2004 Author Posted January 29, 2004 Thanks < Andy >, I was going to come back and cancel the question lol, I found the problem, Kazaa has created a backdoor into my computer, and I have songs downloading in the background, I guess it was just weird that the only time they tried to connect to my computer to remove songs or whatever they where doing was only attempted when I was in my cPanel-Filemanager lol, I guess they will try to put a lawsuit on me next for not letting them get into my computer lol! Well have a awesome day/night! Quote
TCH-Andy Posted January 29, 2004 Posted January 29, 2004 Hi Alan, You are welcome - glad you found the problem Andy Quote
Alan Posted January 29, 2004 Author Posted January 29, 2004 Thanks < Andy>, Yes me too. They are starting to place lawsuits on Kazaa users, even if they get kazaa out of business, we will still be able to share our songs, even Windows has its own sharing programs built into them. lol, but I will support kazaa till the last day! -Alan Quote
