samporras Posted January 14, 2004 Posted January 14, 2004 Hey everyone. I'm looking into doing a website for a realty company and I need to know a few things.....hopefully this is where I can post them. I need a program called a java mortgage calculator. It calculates taxes and all that other good stuff and tells you what your mortgage payments would be. here's a rough example : http://www.mortgage--calculators.com/javamc.htm Can I buy some software that contains the program and just integrate it to my website? GroovyFish Posted January 14, 2004 Posted January 14, 2004 Samporras, That is one fancy calculator . I did a little research and that calculator was written by a guy named Karl Jeacle. You can buy that calculator to use on a website for $175 http://www.jeacle.ie/mortgage/. (there is a link on the right for information on purchasing a license) Or, you could try going to a site like Hotscripts there are some basic mortgage calculators scripts. You might find some free or low cost scripts there. Good Luck! Quote
samporras Posted January 16, 2004 Author Posted January 16, 2004 Thanks Groovy Fish...I'll check those out! Quote
Lianna Posted January 16, 2004 Posted January 16, 2004 samporras, I'll make a note to check with a friend of mine who is webmaster for a big realty firm here. He has the calculator stuff and know that he didn't pay a ton for it. Quote
schussat Posted January 16, 2004 Posted January 16, 2004 From freshmeat.net I came up with a PHP mortage calculator that might do the trick. It's free, released under the BSD license. It's not java, but if that's not an absolute requirement it might be worth a look. -Alan Quote

samporras Posted January 23, 2004 Author Posted January 23, 2004 I am so sorry guys. I just got a new computer so i've been busy setting it up!!! I totally forgot that I had posted this message. Thank you so much for all of your help. I really liked the php mortgage calculator. TCH-Lianna: thanks for your example too. I'm goign to show both to my client and see which one he prefers. I feel like I let my family down by not being here all the time and responding promptly. I promise it won't happen again!!! Rock Sign Quote
