Lianna Posted December 24, 2003 Posted December 24, 2003 (edited) Perhaps this info from CuteFTP's Help File could be useful: CuteFTP’s Advanced settings can be accessed by choosing Edit > Settings > Advanced from the menu bar.... Receive/Send Buffer This shows the size in bytes of transmission buffers. Larger values may increase performance at the cost of higher RAM usage. Transfer can also be slowed by firewall and antivirus software. In no way am I recommending that you disable those! As far as I can tell, in CuteFTP Pro you are unable to alter the send/receive buffer settings. Quote
KevinW Posted January 3, 2004 Posted January 3, 2004 Silica, what kind of Internet connection are you using. Most DSL/Cable connections will advertize fast download speeds, but upload speeds will vary. For example, at home my DSL is 768k download, but only 128k upload. -kw Quote
