Lookin For A Script...

im looking for some kinda script that works like the following..

..

 

theres a box a user can type up some news

 

and then click post..

 

and its automatically updated as front page news..

 

... some features like editing.. deleting would be good

 

and allowing html code to be posted.

 

thanks if anyone knows anything like this let me know

Sounds like sometihng like PHPNuke/PostNuke, or maybe MovableType would be the best..

If I where you I would use PHP-Nuke, if you need help with it, or are looking for blocks, then go here:

phpnuke.org

They also have an example of what your wanting I think on the main page.

if you just want to give it a test run, try the auto install from cpanel, it is version 6.0 but its pretty much the same thing. and will give you a feel for it.

 

If you decide to use it, I would go with the 6.5 enhanced version from nukecops.com, it has all of the features you would need, plus its already tapped for google. Google has a hard time deep crawling phpnuke sites, that arent google tapped. (in other words it turns urls like http://www.mysite.com/modules.php?name=Sec...rticles&secid=9 into urls like http://www.mysite.com/sections-listarticles-1.html)

 

From what i have read 7.0 is buggy as heck, I use nuke on 3 of the 4 sites I have.
