ISR Posted December 3, 2003 Posted December 3, 2003 Is it possible to configure Cpanel to obtain the cumulative number of hits and visitors to particular pages over time periods longer than 1 month? If so, how does one go about doing it? Thank you, Devon Quote
TCH-Rob Posted December 4, 2003 Posted December 4, 2003 After looking at the AWStats Page it looks like there is only one offering other than the month to month view and that is a year to date view. AWStats says this is a big resource hog. AWStats needs to reload all data for full year, and resort them completely, # requiring a large amount of time, memory and CPU. This might be a problem # for web hosting providers that offer AWStats for large sites on shared # servers At any rate cPanel items are a global change for that server. One would have to submit a help desk request to have the change made and in this case due to the server load this may cause I do not think it would be implemented. Quote
TCH-Sales Posted December 4, 2003 Posted December 4, 2003 As Rob said, I don't think this would be do-able since the server loads would be knocked up. Also as Rob said this would have to be changed server-wide which would really be bad on the server. Man, Rob is one smart cookie! Quote
ISR Posted December 4, 2003 Author Posted December 4, 2003 Thank you both for the info. At least I can get the year-to-date (I hadn't tried the "---" option for month of reporting in AWStats), which will be good enough for my purposes. Quote
TCH-Rob Posted December 4, 2003 Posted December 4, 2003 (edited) The "---" works pretty well for that, I hadn't thought of that until after I posted. I am glad it will work for your needs. I may have misread the initial question. I think my cookie is crumbling. Edited December 4, 2003 by TCH-Rob Quote
