I have already given notice to Dot5 that I am moving. Didn't tell them where. I choose here. My questions.

I registered both of my domain names through them. Should have done it myself but, laziness aflicts even me. Both domains are in their name. They told me:

"You will have to contact your registrar where you are going to host to initiate the transfer of the domain name"

Okay, I can do that. Will you be able to take care of things from there? Based on what I have read from your current clients, you can even leap tall buildings. Hope so cause I need to know if it is possible to put both domains in my name. I suspect that something like that will require waiting for expiration.

Bear (Bare?) with me, I have a mental problem (really!).

Now then, they use The Look Controlpanel 3.1. Does this mean I will have to move my stuff myself? Not a problem, as long as I can log on, just curious.

I think that is all for now. I will no doubt have further questions as I forget things quite easily.

You can get your transfer started here There is a $10.95 charge per domain name you want to transfer.

Since the old host doesnt use the same type/brand of cPanel that we use, yes you'll need to transfer your files to our server manually.

As far as I know transfering them to TCH would put them in your name, from the response you quoted from them that would seem to be the case. If you couldnt transfer them to your name they would have said "sorry you cant transfer the domains"

Bohemotash,

If you'd like to PM me with the domain names, then I'll gladly look at the registry entries to see how they are currently listed and see if there will be any foreseeable issues with the transfer. Normally, with most credible hosts, the domains that they register are listed with YOU as the Registrant. And I've seen some that will list themselves as the Administrative Contact. That means that YOU truly own the domain name, but that they have control over it. The Administrative Contact email address is the really critical piece. It sounds as though Dot5 is being cooperative though and you should have no problems.

Welcome home!
