woller Posted October 26, 2003 Posted October 26, 2003 This seems fishy to me...it comes from "support@secureserver.net", though it's signed TotalChoice Hosting. (Full message text pasted below, except I've changed the "Domain Information Key" in the link.) If it isn't legit, I'll gladly forward the whole message (with headers) to the TCH folks. ============= Begin message=========== ****************************************** Important Notice Regarding your Domain(s) ****************************************** Dear Domain Administrator, ICANN, the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers, requires all registrars to ask their domain administrators and/or registrants to annually review their domain name contact data and to make whatever changes are needed to ensure that it's accurate and current. Deverill Posted October 26, 2003 Posted October 26, 2003 What the email says is legitimate. This message is being sent all across the internet - in fact I just got one for a domain I have on godaddy.com. If your info is correct then you don't have to do anything and that's a good thing. My guess is that the email was sent from the registrar that does TCH domains on behalf of TCH and therefore it was not from the TCH servers... but that is a guess. There's a similar thread at http://www.totalchoicehosting.com/forums/i...c=5250&hl=icann Quote

There's a similar thread at http://www.totalchoicehosting.com/forums/i...c=5250&hl=icann The email is from TCH's domain name partner. I use the same folks and my domain clients received the same email, just with my company's name instead of TCH. Quote
