jtowell Posted October 9, 2003 Posted October 9, 2003 I just grabbed Gallery version 1.4, and installed it. However on the last step it said it couldn't find ImageMagik. Error: I can't find ImageMagick at the location you provided. Gallery prefers ImageMagick version 5.4.8 and up. You can compile and install the entire ImageMagick package from www.ImageMagick.org. Note: They also have binaries available for assorted operating systems. If you can't get it working, try leaving the ImageMagick path blank and using NetPBM instead. I had it pointing to /usr/bin Thoughts?
TCH-JimE Posted October 9, 2003 Posted October 9, 2003 Hi, ImageMagiK can be found at : ImageMagick convert = /usr/local/bin/convert The best thing to do is: - go to the TCH Help web site - click on Tools & Scripts link - click on 'See it in action' for env.pl - look in the section labeled 'Server programs' Its a excellant script! Jim
TCH-Dick Posted October 9, 2003 Posted October 9, 2003 all you need to put is /usr/local/bin it wont work with convert added, at least it never did for me.
popeorch Posted August 28, 2005 Posted August 28, 2005 Looks like the path is now /usr/bin NOT /usr/local/bin A case of !RTFM Wonder why. ImageMagick isn't a typical unix binary that you would find in /usr/bin all you need to put is /usr/local/bin it wont work with convert added, at least it never did for me. <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
TCH-Bruce Posted August 28, 2005 Posted August 28, 2005 Welcome to the forums. As you can see these posts were answered in 2003. Things move. I am sure there are more updated threads on the boards.
