susandennis Posted September 12, 2003 Posted September 12, 2003 The domain name (susandennis.org) that I'm moving from old host to TCH is now showing an ip address of 0.0.0.1. I changed the DNS servers on Wednesday afternoon at the registrars. (But I didn't think to 'release' it from the old hosting company until last night although I'm not sure that matters.) Is the 0.0.0.1 thing normal? Is that kind of proagation code for 'we're moving'? 72 hours is a loooooong time - especially when you are old like me. waiting.... waiting... waiting... I need a smilie with a tapping foot. Quote
TCH-JimE Posted September 12, 2003 Posted September 12, 2003 Hi, Could you please submit a help ticket for us and we shall get that corrected. Jim Quote
susandennis Posted September 12, 2003 Author Posted September 12, 2003 Hi Jim, I'm confused about submitting a help ticket. What could you guys help with? I think everything is all set up correctly but it hasn't been 72 hours yet so the poagation hasn't yet finished. I sure don't expect you to be able to speed up the internet... Or is the 0.0.0.1 a big red flag and now I should be really worried?? Quote
TCH-JimE Posted September 12, 2003 Posted September 12, 2003 Hi, The domain name has finished propergating on the DNS entry system that I use and its got stuck at 0.0.0.1 Some domains do occasionally do get stuck through no fault of anyone and we just need to edit what is called your "DNS Zone" to fix this. Then you can really get to grips with your website! Jim Quote
