Installing Version Control Software

Is it permissable to install Linux software in the hosting area? We would like to install StarTeam to share the TCC projects we are working on.

 

Has anyone attempted to load version control software here?

Anyone out there have any experience with this? We are will to pay for some help. What tools are people using to provide command line access to their hosted area?

I am not fully aware of what this is, but additional servers are not allowed to be installed onto the hosting account. This includes but is not limited to IRC, Gaming and chat servers.

 

Command line is only available via a jail shell access for which there is a $10 fee and it must be approved by Head Guru.

 

Failure to follow the above will lead to termination of your account.

Sorry about the mistake with the money. I'm just a little desperate and had not gotten a response. Thanks for taking the time to respond to me it was greatly appreciated.

 

Would like to know what we can and cannot do with the host site. We would like it to be the center of all our corporate communication that is why we signed up for it.

 

Just trying to do the right thing. The fee for the shell is fine, I just need to know where to go to set up the shell. Also trying to set up the mailman software and working our way through that.

I suggest you start a help ticket in the customer service area and state what your wanting to do and if its ok and ask for the fee link. As far as getting it to work, unfortuantley thats beyound my knowledge
