jtsysbcu Posted October 5, 2008 Posted October 5, 2008 Trying to figure out how to publish so my index manager doesn't show up as the "home page". Can anyone assist? Quote
TCH-Thomas Posted October 5, 2008 Posted October 5, 2008 I´m not sure what you are wanting to do, but if you want to hide a specific directory's index page, you can do this through the index manager in your cpanel. Quote
jtsysbcu Posted October 6, 2008 Author Posted October 6, 2008 I'm trying to help a friend with their website. It is coming up to the directory page instead of the home/index page. lincolnnazarene.org What step am I missing? I know it has to be something simple. We are using Front Page. Quote
TCH-Dick Posted October 6, 2008 Posted October 6, 2008 Linux is case sensitive, so just publish your index file as index.html (all lower case) and it will load correctly. Quote
jtsysbcu Posted October 7, 2008 Author Posted October 7, 2008 Okay. That worked, but the pictures aren't showing for the buttons and logo. And the links aren't working properly. I realize why the Home button isn't working -> pointing to an old page. But the rest should be working. We took the hit counter off, and now it has text there as "Hit Counter". Suggestions??? Quote
TCH-Thomas Posted October 7, 2008 Posted October 7, 2008 The image "image001.gif" which appear to be the logo seems to be missing in the directory/folder "Index_files" which would be why the page can not find it. So check it´s there and with the correct name ie image001.gif and not Image001.gif and it should work (and do the same for the button images). Quote
