mike
Howdy TCH 'ERS, I have a friend, retired, that wants a printer he and his wife can both use. They aren't networked so they would probably just unplug the printer from one computer and plug into the other computer whenever. She has windows xp and he uses a mac. Is there a printer anyone would recommend for this venture? thanks in advance Edited September 9, 2008 by mike
TCH-Bruce
Almost all printers made today will work with either a PC or Mac (drivers included on CD for both). So the question is what kind of printer do they want. I have a HP Photosmart C5180 all-in-one inkjet that will work on both. In fact it can be plugged into a router and shared that way as well. mike
thanks Bruce. My 5280 works the same way.
Jeter2Fan93
You could even have the printer hooked up to the Mac on the network, then use Bonjour for Windows to configure it on the Windows machine. I have it setup this way and it works flawlessly. Just make sure the Mac is turned on!
