joecav Posted August 1, 2003 Posted August 1, 2003 Hi, I updated my page to link back to TCH...can you add me when you get a chance? Thanks! Linky The name of the site is catalystsales.com Description...We provide sales outsourcing services including lead qualification, upselling, database cleanup and event confirmation. I have a link to TCH on the bottom of the index page (is that enough or does it have to be on every page?) May I please have a rank evaluation... if you don't mind? This is obviously a business site so I want to get as much exposure as possible...don't we all? hehe. PS. I am a noob web designer and I expect you will find quite a few issues...so fire at will. It's the only way I will learn. Also, I don't know how to code, I used Dreamweaver MX to make this puppy. So keep that in mind. Quote
Digirunt Posted August 1, 2003 Posted August 1, 2003 I kept looking at your site thinking, where's the TCH link, then I it refresh. . .duh! Very nice, nice and simple. Have a look at this http://www.delorie.com/web/ses.cgi?url=htt...ystsales.com%2F Might help. Thumbs Up Quote
joecav Posted August 1, 2003 Author Posted August 1, 2003 Digirunt, I followed the link and saw a few things about my site...what do they mean? Sorry but my inexperience is really shining through. Quote
Digirunt Posted August 1, 2003 Posted August 1, 2003 Sorry, i wasn't very clear. It is a site that shows you what a search engine like google sees when it crawls your site. It's not written in stone or anything but it helps. It looked quite good to me, you seem to have the headers showing up the right sort of info. Check out the articles by the top dsdemmin Here. They tell you how search engine look at your page and not just your keywords etc. All these articles have helped me loads. Thumbs Up Quote
joecav Posted August 1, 2003 Author Posted August 1, 2003 Thanks for the insight. I appreciate it. Quote
SEO Posted August 2, 2003 Posted August 2, 2003 Joecav: You have been added to our Extended Family - Commercial Sites page You need to do some 'brush-up' reading and employ some of the suggestions that have been put forth here at Total Choice Web Hosting concerning optimization. Many of the basics have not been covered and an evaluation at this time would not do you justice. Start with the pinned threads within Web Site Promotion (start at the bottom and work you way up). Make sure you follow all the links (e.g. to Search Engine Optimization - An Overview). When you feel you have incorporated these suggestions, post back on this thread and then we will get to your evaluation. Happy reading Quote
