hello again, long time no visit, 3rd year with TCH :naughty:

anyways moving on to the topic at hand!

I am wondering if a PDA/Phone (XDA phone/windows mobile) crashes and resets itself then wipes all data (photos etc especially)

is there any way you can get these back?

i know if you use a external memory card there is applications to do this, but this is on the phones on flash memory built in.

any help in this matter will greatly cheer someone up who's in this boat i'm asking for

Thanks in Advance

Maka

Can you access the internal memory from your computer? If not, I doubt you will find anything to help you out. Even if you could, you are going to need a lot of luck recovering anything.

that was my initial thought, i have not asked them, i have an older o2 xda (jas jar exec i think its called) and it doesn't show it up as a removable device, as in a similar manner to a USB pen.

Well if the computer can't access the memory it's doubtful you will be able to recover anything.

Hi,

I'm new here and thanks maka for posting this for me! :thumbup1:

I am able to connect my xda onto the computer and access its files, but I've already tried to clicking around but found nothing....is there anything else i could try do?

Many thanks!

Welcome to the forums cyswork

You would need some sort of software that did file recovery of deleted files. I have never seen any for PDA devices but that doesn't mean there isn't such a thing.

You could Google search for "data recovery xda" or "data recovery pda" and see if you get any hits.

just had a look around google....Im guessing I will have to pay for software to recover?

Most likely yes. And I did some searching myself and found nothing specific for the XDA.

cyswork, have a look at this website http://forum.xda-developers.com/index.php and you may just find what you want as there are some very cluey people on there and they even do their own ROM's and hacks as well, to do better than the original stuff. Worth a look at least.
