AdventurerKat Posted July 27, 2003 Posted July 27, 2003 I am brand new to Total Choice but not new to the web, old server was DotEasy. Anyway, I tried to publish a CuteSite builder test page to my new Total Choice domain and when I go to look at it, it is empty. The publishing seems to go o.k. and the CuteSite builder asks if I would like to view the site but there is nothing there. My domain name hasn't propogated yet but I go to the numerical address given to me and nothing, then with my user name extension I end up at my directory. When I check my actual files for the site, i.e. images, there is nothing there and there is one image on the test page I am uploading so shouldn't it be there? Any thoughts? Quote
Digirunt Posted July 27, 2003 Posted July 27, 2003 Are you uploading to the public_html folder in your web space. The http: //1.1.1.1/~username address shows the content of this folder so if you didn't there will be nothing there. Quote
AdventurerKat Posted July 27, 2003 Author Posted July 27, 2003 Thanks. That did it! A little different than I was used to. I appreciate the quick response. Quote

Lianna Posted July 27, 2003 Posted July 27, 2003 Kat, since you published to the root (ie: not the public_html) directory on your first attempt, it would be a good idea to use cPanel's File Manager or other FTP application to go remove the files from the root. Yell if you want more specific info on how to do this. Quote
