Help! Sql Is Making Me Nuts

I have to get my data vases back going admit I'm no pro at mysql but I followed trhe tutorial word for word. I mean its pretty simple. I add a database, I add a user and then I add the user to the database but my script keeps saying can't log in with that user and pw. The funny thing is, that I do the exact same steps and sometimes it takes it and sometimes it does'nt so I'm a little confused here.

are you putting the db name and username in as cpanelusername_databasename and cpanelusername_databaseusername?

 

example, lets say my cpanel username is bob and i make a database named stuff, ok after i create the database and create a user (bob) I have to add that user to that database (you have done that already)

 

now in the config where it asks for database name it would be bob_stuff

where it asks for username it would be bob_bob and password would be whatever password you used when you created the "bob" username.
