sammos Posted October 5, 2006 Posted October 5, 2006 Hello, I understand that semi-dedicated servers are more stable than the standard reseller and shared servers because they have fewer accounts on them. can you please explain this in more detail? Is there a limit to the number of accounts or are there other limitations that help improve the reliability? I'm interested in paying more not for more space but for more reliability and less downtime. Thanks! -sam Quote
TCH-Andy Posted October 5, 2006 Posted October 5, 2006 Hi Sam, A semi-dedicated is really just like a large reseller. There is no real difference between a reseller server and a semi-dedicated server (they typically have exactly the same spec). There are a maximum of 5 semi-dedicated accounts on one server, but of course there is no limit on the number of individual accounts on the server, since a semi-dedicated can host as many domains as they wish (or at least as many as they have space and bandwidth for) exactly the same as a reseller account can. If you want to have complete control over your server (ie, know that no one else can be using resources etc) then the only real way is to move to a dedicated server. Quote
