jpepper Posted October 3, 2006 Posted October 3, 2006 Great job on the server 65 migration guys. This was relatively painless from the our end and our setup is not the most trivial account. Upgrading the hardware/os is very proactive and thats just one of the things I really like about tch. Small inconviences now stop big inconviences later. Thanks John
Head Guru Posted October 3, 2006 Posted October 3, 2006 Thanks for the kind words John. We really do try to be proactive, latley its been a difficult with so much growth here at TCH. However, we are back on track and things are starting to progress well. Once again John, thanks for your kind words and your business.
TCH-Bruce Posted October 3, 2006 Posted October 3, 2006 Thanks John Hats off to the techs for getting the servers migrated.

Thanks John I don't know what you guys are congratulating each other for. Right at this moment server 65 and 64 (my server) have been down for a few hours now. I am expecting an email with a huge project from a client today and I haven't been able to pick up my mail. I filed a ticket and I'm sure TCH will take care of my problem, just like they always have, but right now I am not happy. If server 64 is migrating right now, a cautionary email from TCH for all server users would have been in order. But congratulating them with a migration while the servers are down is a bit premature.
Head Guru Posted October 3, 2006 Posted October 3, 2006 First of all, if you were at all reading the forums you would have noted that at the end of the migration we TOOK down the old servers. SO server64 and server65 are NOT DOWN, they are no longer in production. Secondly all sites have been restored. Most likley if your site is not resolving your not using TCH DNS! I cant tell you how many tickets I have answered with clients moaning about their sites being down and all along it was not our fault. If you manage offsite DNS then of course your site is down. Update your DNS with the new IP and stop yelling at people that have been working on this migration for nearly 36 hours its just down right counter productive.
